To support the mission of Philippine Red Cross to provide timely, efficient, and responsive humanitarian services to the most vulnerable, PJLFI organized a nationwide blood-letting activity dubbed as “Give Love, Give Blood this Christmas” to help sustain PRC’s blood supply particularly during the time of the year when people are most prone to accidents and injuries.
From the collective efforts of Cebuana Lhuillier Regions 1A, 1B, 3, 4A, 4B and 5 and PJLI Head Office, a total of 115 bags of blood were collected from eight venues nationwide. Regions 2A, 2B and Region 3 Bicol area are set to conduct their blood-letting this month.
The highest number of blood donors came from Head Office with 27 bags, followed by Region 4A and 4B with 20 bags gathered per region.
The blood-letting is an annual activity of PJLFI in collaboration with PRC. It encourages employees and clients to be heroes by simply donating blood which is actually a life-saving gesture. It also helps improve health and wellness of the donor. The drive started from December 14 to 28, which marked the 12th anniversary of PJLFI.
